Frequently asked questions.

DO YOU ACCEPT ANY TATTOO CONCEPT?

Unfortunately I can’t, it’s a one man show and due to the high volume of emails I get it's impossible to book everyone. Sorry about that! However, while I may not have been the best artist for your project at that moment, don't let it discourage you from sending different ideas in the future. My focus in tattooing is always changing as I take on new projects. I‘m also more than happy to help you find an artist that best suits the style and subject of the tattoo you’re looking to get.

HOW DO YOU CHOOSE THE CONCEPTS YOU WANT TO TATTOO?

I look for unique design ideas that spark my interest and intrigue my imagination. I usually look for the ones with fewer restrictions on design and body placement rather than strict parameters. Most projects I take on are larger in scale and don’t require much if any cover up work. I’m currently interested in these themes, nature, space, animals, and anything that’s trippy and weird.

WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU DON’T CHOOSE MY PROJECT?

If your project wasn’t chosen this time around it was one of two reasons. First being that I didn’t feel I was the right artist for your project. You are more important to me than money. I want to make sure that I can deliver the best for you 100% of the time and realizing that I’m not passionate about a certain concept and won’t be able to give you 100% of my effort, knowing that there is another artist that can is more important to me than saying yes just to line my pockets. The second reason is that I was interested in your concept but already booked the available days I had open. Generally I will respond as to why you weren’t booked but if you didn’t hear from me send another request next booking period. Be sure to join that mailing list so you’re always in the know when books open.

I EMAILED BUT NEVER GOT A RESPONSE?

If you didn’t hear back from me during the open books period there’s a few reasons. One, you’re email got lost in the shuffle, I try to insure that it doesn’t happen but it does and I’m sorry. Two, you sent multiple emails and things got confusing and lost. Third I already booked the dates I had available and couldn’t fit anymore appointments in, so please send another request during the next open books period.

BOOKING FEE AND PRICING INFORMATION

If your project has been accepted a booking fee is required to solidify appointment dates to begin the tattoo process. Please note* The booking fee is not a deposit. The booking fee is payment for the time it takes to research and design your concept. It’s non-refundable and is NOT deducted from the cost of the tattoo itself. For each new project a booking fee will be required.

Tattoo pricing is broken up into flat rates, it equates to $200/hr. Most projects I take on require full days or multiple sessions. I use this method to help clients prepare and know what to expect for payments during our appointments. Please note that there is sales tax added to any card transactions.

  • BOOKING FEE - $150 + tax (not a deposit)

  • FOUR HOUR DAY - $800 + tax

  • SIX HOUR DAY - $1200 + tax

  • An Hourly charge of $250 will begin for any work done after 6hours. Otherwise all sessions end after 6 hours.

  • All transactions are subject to Ohio’s sales tax.

  • Please come prepared

WHEN DO YOU OPEN YOUR BOOKS AND TAKE ON NEW PROJECTS?

I open my books and start reviewing emails every two months and will book out my next 2 months then close off booking until the next booking period. I will make an announcement to those who have joined my mailing list first, so be sure to sign up for that to be in the know. I will then post it up to Instagram.

*I do not book or respond to booking request outside of the booking period, because my head will explode from all the emails. Help keep me sane and email your tattoo requests during the open books period.

SHOULD I SEND A SECOND EMAIL IF I DON’T GET A RESPONSE?

Please don’t send another request for the same booking period. This will only create confusion for my booking process. If the booking period has ended and you haven’t received an email from me, you then may send another request for the following booking period

CAN I SEE MY DESIGN BEFORE MY APPOINTMENT?

You can only see your design before hand if you’re traveling from out of state. Otherwise your design will be presented to you the day of the appointment. I generally get my drawings done the night before or morning of your appointment. It’s how I roll, I thrive under pressure. Any minor changes to the design can be made that day but major changes to the design could result in rescheduling or an immediate drop of the project all together. Don’t worry the latter has never happened but is a super rare possibility.

CAN I BRING SOMEONE TO MY APPOINTMENT?

Currently I’m asking that you show up to your appointment alone. We are trying to reduce foot traffic at the studio until the pandemic. Please contact me if this request isn’t possible

WHAT CAN I DO TO PREPARE FOR MY APPOINTMENT?

Get a good nights rest and eat something before coming in. You are allowed to bring something to drink and snack on while you get tattooed. Keeping your blood sugar levels up will help you get through longer sessions. We will have music playing through out the studio but you’re welcome to bring your own source of distraction. Devices for movies, shows or music is encouraged however please make sure to bring headphones so it’s not a distraction for the other artists and clients. Its also good to drink plenty of water before, during, and after your tattoo session.

WHAT IF I’M FEELING SICK ON THE DAY OF MY APPOINTMENT?

Please refrain from coming to your appointment when you are feeling sick. We will be working in close quarters and its almost a guarantee that if contagious I will catch whatever it is you have. I don’t get sick leave working as an artist so missing out on work for being sick is a huge bummer. We can reschedule your appointment for a later date. Your mental and body strength will hold up much better when you’re feeling 100%.

WHAT IF I’M RUNNING LATE TO MY APPOINTMENT?

Please email me letting me know. I understand life happens, as long as it’s not crazy late we’ll get cracking on your tattoo when you come in. if it is super late we may have to reschedule. If you no call no show, you will lose your appointment and possibly any chance of booking future appointments. No shows are kind of a big deal, so please just don’t do that.

DO YOU DO COVER-UPS?

Yes and No. It’s honestly a case by case situation and whether I feel confident that I can achieve a solid cover up. I prefer to have more artistic freedom for cover-ups do to the complex nature of this process.

WHAT IF I’M TRAVELING FROM OUT OF STATE?

I highly recommend purchasing travel insurance just in the rare case that we have to reschedule. This almost never happens but in the off chance that is does its best to be covered.
